Linux/DevOps administrator

Team Telecom Armenia is looking for a skilled and experienced Linux/DevOps Administrator to join our team. As a Linux Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and supporting Linux servers, 3PAR storages, VMware virtualized infrastructure, tape backup storage systems, web services configuration, web server support, and DevOps practices. Your expertise in Linux administration, storage technologies, web services, and DevOps will be crucial in ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

 

·        Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers, including troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.

·        Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and optimal performance of Linux servers.

·        Administer and support 3PAR storage systems, including provisioning, capacity management, and troubleshooting storage-related problems.

·        Manage and maintain VMware virtualized infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and virtual machines.

·        Implement and maintain backup and recovery solutions for tape backup storage systems.

·        Configure and manage web services (e.g., Apache, Nginx) on Linux servers.

·        Provide support and troubleshooting for web servers, ensuring availability and performance.

·        Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new systems and infrastructure upgrades.

·        Implement and automate DevOps practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure as code.

·        Perform system and security audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

·        Create and maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures.

·        Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve system performance and efficiency.

·        Provide technical support and assistance to end-users as needed.

Education:

·        Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)

Qualifications & Skills:

·        Proven experience as a Linux Administrator, managing and supporting Linux servers in a production environment;

·        Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu) and related technologies;

·        Experience with 3PAR storage systems administration and management;

·        Proficiency in VMware virtualized infrastructure, including vSphere, vCenter Server, and vMotion;

·        Familiarity with tape backup storage systems and backup software (e.g., IBM Spectrum Protect, Veritas NetBackup).

·        Experience in configuring and managing web services (e.g., Apache, Nginx) on Linux servers;

·        Knowledge of web server support and troubleshooting techniques;

·        Understanding of DevOps principles and experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins);

·        Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and troubleshooting;

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues;

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Working experience:

·        At least 2 years of working experience in a relevant field
