The Last Stage of the Joint Program by Beeline and Child Development Fund Launched

13th of November 2019, Yerevan. The last stage of the joint program “Digital Opportunities for Schoolchildren” by Beeline Armenia and Child Development Fund has been launched. The program is aimed at transforming daily educational process in Armenian schools into a more interactive, interesting and effective one by providing digital skills to schoolchildren.

The program is designed for 120 students aged 13-16 from 10 schools of Ararat, Armavir, Vayots Dzor and Kotayk provinces, 100 of which have participated in training stage.

During today’s workshop the program participants presented solutions supporting the educational process that have been developed by own efforts for different subjects by applying the digital skills and knowledge acquired in scope of the program. Pitching ideas was followed by the ceremony of awarding the teams with incentive prizes.

“As an employer we are expecting our employees to have good command of the digital tools of today. I believe it is the general mindset for all employers. This is why our program will give the participants the opportunity to be competitive in the labour market and will help the teachers to make the learning process easier and more efficient thanks to the digital tools.”, said Naira Nazaryan, Head of Public Relations, Beeline Armenia.

“Digital Opportunities for Schoolchildren” program is one of the best showcases of successful cooperation between the civil society and business, which speaks of the importance of education. We believe, that living in a world soaked up with digital technologies, the IT-literacy and skills of efficient application of digital opportunities are of crucial importance to have. It is one thing to just know what the internet is and what it is for and a different thing to know and understand how to use it correctly and what to search where.”, added Lusine Simonyan, Child Development Foundation Director.

Recap: The planned result of the program is to create a catalog of tools supporting the education process, which will enable summarizing the tools that students have learned during the program, allowing them to be used in daily learning process, and making them available for all schools.
